seeking the public’s assistance in identifying burglary
suspects.
On January 2, 2017 at 5:50 p.m. Van Nuys officers responded to the
3700 block of Longview Valley Road in the City of Los Angeles for a
burglary radio call. When officers arrived they found that the
suspect entered the location by climbing onto the second floor deck
and kicking in the glass door. The suspect reached in and unlocked
the door. Once inside the suspect took a small safe, a handgun,
miscellaneous papers, and jewelry. The suspect then dragged the
safe and property down the stairs and out the front door where the
getaway car was waiting for him.
Surveillance video cameras captured the suspect inside the
residence and leaving the residence. Video footage also shows the
suspect being picked up by a getaway car.
The suspect that entered the residence is described as a male Black
or Hispanic, 20-25 years old. He stands approximately 5 foot 10
inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighs approximately 160-170
pounds and has a short beard and mustache. He was wearing a light
colored hooded sweat shirt, dark colored pants, dark tennis shoes
and dark colored gloves with reflective tape on them. He was on a
cell phone prior to fleeing the location with the property.
The suspect vehicle is described as a dark colored 4 door sedan.
Suspect-2 who was driving the getaway car dropped suspect-1 off and
drove the vehicle back and forth acting as a lookout during the
