Road Rage Leads to Severe Injury NR20004dm

Thanks to the public’s
assistance, the primary suspects have been identified and an arrest
has been made in the Van Nuys road rage incident which occurred on
Jan 1, 2020, leaving the victim in a coma.

During a dispute with a male later identified as Robert
Hovhannisyan (Suspect-2), a juvenile (Suspect-1) armed himself with
brass knuckles and struck the victim in the face.

The victim sustained major injuries and continues to remain
hospitalized.

Robert Hovhannisyan and the juvenile fled to Armenia.

Thanks to the collective efforts of many community members
providing information, the Los Angeles Police Van Nuys Area
Detectives, FBI/LAPD Fugitive Task Force, Federal Bureau of
Investigation, Department of Homeland Security, Interpol, and the
Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office; the juvenile was
returned to the United States and placed under arrest for Attempted
Murder.

The Los Angeles Police Department is deeply grateful to the many
individuals who assisted in the investigation and apprehension of
the subject.

Van Nuys: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police
Department’s Van Nuys Area are seeking the public’s assistance in
identifying the suspects responsible for severely injuring a
man.

On January 1, 2020, around 9:30 p.m., the victim was in his
vehicle, stopped at a red light,
facing south on Woodman Avenue at Victory Boulvard. The suspect
vehicle had been driving irractically, south on Woodman Avenue. The
suspect vehicle got behind the victim’s vehicle and followed the
victi. The victim and suspects pulled to the curb and exited their
vehicles. A dispute quickly erupted. During the confrontation, one
of the suspects punched the victim once in the head causing him to
become unconscious and fall to the ground. The suspects returned to
their vehicle and fled the location south on Woodman Avenue from
Victory Boulevard.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and
transported the victim to a local hospital. He has not regained
consciousness since the incident.

SThe first suspect is described as a male, Armenian, short black
hair, 510, 150 lbs, 20-30 years old wearing a black sweatshirt,
white shirt, black pants, and black hair. He was the one who hit
the victim and was the driver of the Jeep. The second suspect is
described as a male, Amenian, black hair, 601, 170 lbs, 20-30 years
old wearing light blue pants and a dark jacket. The third suspect
is a male, Armenian, black hair 509, 140 lbs. 20-30 years old
wearing a dark jacket, white shirt, and dark pants.

The suspects were last seen driving south on Woodman from Victory
in a black Jeep with tinted windows and California paper
plates.
