WHY:
On Thursday, July 8, 2010, the LAPD’s Robbery Homicide Division announced the arrest of Lonnie Franklin, suspected of killing at least 10 young women in South Los Angeles, in a series of murders committed between 1985 and 2007.

Detectives will be giving an update to the ongoing investigation and will provide information related to the focus of the investigation against Franklin that includes six missing females, their names, photographs and last known locations, four of which have not been previously released.
