Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Wilshire Robbery Unit is investigating a series of armed robberies.
The suspect is described as a male Black, 5′ 9" to 6′ 5" tall, 160 to 200 pounds, between the ages of 40 and 50, with salt and pepper hair.
On Thursday, December 2, 2004, at approximately 5:25 p.m., the suspect entered the Bhalli Discount Market, located at 4520 West 3rd Street, armed with a handgun. The suspect pointed the gun at the cashier and demanded money from the cash register, a carton of cigarettes and calling cards. The suspect fled in a possible black Toyota 4-Runner.
On Thursday, January 27, 2005, at approximately 10:35 a.m., the suspect entered Sav-On Drugs, located at 5985 West Pico Boulevard. He ordered of the employees at gunpoint to take him to the area where the surveillance video was housed. The suspect took the tape along with cash from the registers.
On the same day, January 27, 2005, at approximately 8:55 p.m., the suspect approached a male victim on foot in the 100 block of South Orange Drive. The suspect pulled out a handgun and demanded the victim to hand over his wallet. The victim complied and the suspect fled with the victim’s property.
On Saturday, January 29, 2005, at approximately 6:45 p.m., the suspect approached an employee at a Starbucks Coffee, located at 6066 Olympic Boulevard. At gunpoint, the suspect demanded the employee to remove cash from the cash register. The suspect attempted to gain possession of the surveillance tape but was unable due to the surveillance system at Starbucks was digital.
