Robbery Victim Dies from Injuries NR12228bb

Los Angeles:  Los Angeles Police Department Criminal Gang Homicide Division detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspects responsible for killing 31-year-old Patrick Ray Lister, a resident of Los Angeles.

On Monday, May 14, 2012, around 6:40 p.m., Lister walked into a liquor store located in the 8100 block of South Avalon Boulevard to purchase an item. When Lister exited the store, he was confronted by three male Black suspects.  The three suspects immediately assaulted him and took his necklace.  During the assault, one of the suspects stabbed Lister in the torso.

Lister was transported by a friend to a local hospital for his stab wound to the chest and was listed in critical condition.  On Thursday, May 17, 2012, Lister died as a result of his injuries.

Detectives believe the motive for this crime is robbery and is gang related.  The Suspects are described as male Blacks, between the ages of 20 to 40 years old.  The suspects are currently outstanding.
