Why:
The Los Angeles Police Department, along with businesses, schools and faith groups are meeting to make a difference in our community.
Goals of the Summit include:

Identify the needs of at-risk youth and discuss solutions for crime and gang violence
Establish a forum for gang members to meet and discuss a common truce
Identify and collaborate the resources of law enforcement and governmental agencies, local businesses, faith based organizations, schools, and non-profit community groups
Publicize and distribute a divisional and regional crime prevention and intervention resource guide
Engage neighborhood councils to improve quality of life issues and relationships with law enforcement
