Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s South Bureau Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the arrest of the suspect(s) involved in the murder of a security guard.
On November 10, 2023, around 6:20 p.m., 77th area patrol officers responded to a radio call of a shooting at a dispensary in the 6600 block of Crenshaw Boulevard. When officers arrived, they found the victim, later identified as 27-year-old Francisco Alonzo, inside the dispensary suffering from a gunshot wound.
The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and provided emergency medical treatment. However, he failed to respond and was pronounced deceased at scene.
During the preliminary investigation, it was determined that Alonzo worked at the location as a security guard and became involved in a dispute with the suspect possibly during the commission of a robbery.
There is no suspect description at this time.
