North Hills: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Bureau Homicide detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in a shooting investigation that resulted in the death of a man.
On Friday, October 18, 2019, at 7:00 p.m., Mission Area patrol officers responded to an, “Ambulance – shots fired” radio call in the area of Orion Avenue and Chase Street. When officers arrived, they located a male Hispanic in his early twenties that had been struck in the torso by gunfire. Officers determined that witnesses had transported the victim from another location in an attempt to drive the victim to a local hospital and had stopped to render immediate aid. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the location and rendered aid but the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
