Los Angeles: Police (LAPD) is asking for the public’s help in identifying the person responsible for the shooting death of 17-year-old Brandon Jamal Perry a resident of Los Angeles.
On August 22, 2009, at around 11:45 p.m., Perry was standing within a group of people in front of a residence in the 6400 block of South 7th Avenue. For reasons unknown, a suspect excited a vehicle at the corner of 64th Street and 7th Avenue and fired multiple rounds at the group. Four victims were struck by the gunfire.
Perry and two other victims were transported to a local hospital. Perry was pronounced dead at the hospital. Two other victims were admitted, but are expected to survive; and the fourth victim was treated and released at scene.
The weapon and suspect are still outstanding and the motive remains unclear.
