Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department, Central Traffic Detectives, are investigating a Severe Injury Felony Hit-and-Run in Newton Division.
On May 25, 2022, at 2:00 a.m., a pedestrian was struck near the intersection of 12th Street and Central Avenue by an unknown make and model silver SUV. The driver fled the scene without rendering aid and identifying him or herself. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene and transported the pedestrian to a local hospital. The pedestrian was admitted into the hospital for his severe injuries.

On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $25,000 is available to community members that provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
