Severe Injury Hit and Run Traffic Collision NR21213ml

North Hollywood: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect or suspects responsible for the Hit and Run traffic collision that severely injured a man.

On Saturday July 3, 2021, at 7:15 a.m., a male pedestrian was crossing westbound in the marked crosswalk at Laurel Canyon Blvd and Magnolia Blvd when he was struck by a dark colored Tesla Model 3 while conducting a left turn northbound Laurel Canyon Boulevard from eastbound Magnolia Boulevard.

As a result of the collision, the male pedestrian was seriously injured. The hit and run driver failed to stop and render aid as required by law.

Drivers are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves.

On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit and Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $25,000 is available to community members who provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
