PUBLIC SAFETY REMINDER

As result, a case such as this one becomes the highest priority to locate and apprehend the suspect.

As a reminder to all parents, guardians, and caretakers of children.

Please be mindful of where your children are at all times. In our fast-paced society it is easy for them to wander out of view. As parents, guardians, and caretakers we can be equally busy and we tend to rationalize, “they will be right back.” Young children are unable to defend themselves from a determined predator. A sexual assault can take many forms and be committed within seconds.

Finally, please talk to your children about how someone they know who hurts them may try to convince them through threats or other trickery to not tell anyone. Encourage your children to know they can trust you and discuss anything when they feel harmed or touched in an inappropriate way.
