Shooting in Mission Area Leaves One Dead NR24284kt

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Bureau Homicide detectives are investigating a shooting that left one person dead.

On Thursday, October 17, 2024 around 5:55 p.m., Mission area patrol officers responded to a radio call for a shooting on the 14000 block of Blythe Street in Panorama City. When officers arrived, they found the victim on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound.

The Los Angeles Fire Department’s paramedics responded and transported the victim to a local area hospital where he succumbed to his injures and was pronounced deceased.

The victim has not been identified as of this time. He is described as a 50-year-old male, Hispanic. There is no suspect information.

Detectives from Valley Bureau Homicide are actively canvassing the neighborhood for surveillance video and witnesses.
