Valley Bureau Homicide detectives are announcing the arrest of the subjects responsible for the murder of Jorge Ramos of North Hollywood.
In the nine days that passed, detectives worked continuously to uncover evidence, conduct follow up investigations and ultimately to identify the two subjects responsible for this murder.
On February 29, 2024, search and arrest warrants were authored and served in the San Fernando Valley. A 13-year-old Male Hispanic subject was arrested in Van Nuys, and a 14-year-old Male Hispanic subject was arrested in North Hills. During the course of the search warrant service, the two subjects were arrested peacefully, and several items of evidence were recovered.
On March 1, 2024, this case was presented to the Sylmar Juvenile Branch of the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. The District Attorney’s Office filed one count 187(a) PC- Murder, for the 14-year-old male. The District Attorney’s Office filed one count 32 PC-Accessory to Murder, for the 13-year-old male.
North Hollywood: Homicide Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect, or suspects, responsible for a shooting that killed a 19-year-old man.
On February 20, 2024, around 1:28 p.m., North Hollywood Area patrol officers responded to multiple calls of a shooting at the intersection of Vanowen Street and Ethel Avenue. When the officers arrived, they located the victim on the sidewalk suffering from a gunshot wound.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and pronounced the victim deceased. The victim was identified as 19-year-old Jorge Ramos of North Hollywood.
There is no suspect information.
