Wilmington: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Harbor Area Homicide Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect(s) responsible for the shooting death of a 17-year-old male. On June 6, 2017, around 5:00 a.m., the victim was walking, with three friends, in the area of 900 block of West I Street in the city of Wilmington.
The suspect, a male, wearing dark clothing, exited a vehicle and walked toward the victim.
The victim and his friends ran in different directions. The suspect shot multiple rounds at the victim and fled the scene in a vehicle.
The Los Angeles Fire Department transported the victim to a local hospital, where he died later died. The victim has been identified as Favian Nunez, 17, male Hispanic from Wilmington. Detectives have no leads on the vehicle description or suspect(s) and are asking for the public’s help. Favian Nunez was attending Nathaniel Narbonne High School and due to graduate in two days.
