Los Angeles: 77th Street Homicide detectives are investigating the shooting incident that led to the death of 17 year-old Alwin Ivan Flowers that occurred on November 20, 2004, at 7:55 p.m. The shooting occurred in the 3100 block of West 59 th Street in Los Angeles.
Alwin was transported by Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics and has been treated at the Cedar Sinai Hospital since the shooting incident. He died from injuries today, December 14, 2004, at about 2:30 p.m.
The motive is still unknown.
