Silver Lake-Echo Park Robbery Suspects in Custody

WHY:   
On Tuesday, February 3, 2009, Northeast Area Community Police Station held a press conference to provide information about a rash of armed robberies that had occurred between December 30, 2008 and January 31, 2009.  The robberies were concentrated in the Silver Lake and Echo Park area of Los Angeles and targeted loan males walking along the street.  Several of the victims were brutally attacked causing great concern to the people in these communities.  

Northeast Area Detectives have made two arrests in the cases and want to provide further details to the public to help allay some of the fear that still grips many within the community.
