Studio City: On January 31, 2018, around 2:25 a.m., a 2011 Landrover, travelling westbound at a high-rate of speed, drove off the roadway and collided with the curb. The vehicle continued in a northwest direction and collided with three parking meters, a concrete wall, and several other objects before flipping over twice and coming to a stop inside the parking lot of the shopping mall located at 11200 block of Ventura Boulevard, Studio City.
The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced both the driver, Rasual Butler, a 38-years-old Studio City resident, and the passenger, Leah LaBelle Vladowski, a 31-years-old Studio City resident, dead at scene.
The Los Angeles Police Department, Valley Traffic Division is currently investigating the accident and believed that speed was a factor.
