Pacific Palisades – West Los Angeles Area detectives are investigating a child abduction that occurred at an elementary school in the Pacific Palisades area.
On Thursday, February 1, 2001 at approximately 12:15 p.m., Hunter Darren White, six years old, brown hair, blue eyes, 3′ 1/2", 50 lbs. was taken by his mother, Tina Louise Meza, from Marquez Charter Elementary School located at 16821 Marquez Avenue in Pacific Palisades. Meza went to the school at approximately 12:00 p.m., climbed over the fence and located her son on the school ground. Meza then fled in an awaiting vehicle.
Officers’ investigation revealed that the subject’s father has the child custody order. The suspect is known to use drugs and possibly enroute to Mexico. The suspect is described as a female White, 31 years of age, brown hair, hazel eyes, 5’7", 125 lbs. She was last seen wearing white shirt and light color pants and driving a 1982 Mercedes, 4 door, brown, license plate number of 4GRK839 CA.
