Los Angeles: A confrontation resulted in a stabbing of a Pacoima man who was taken to a local hospital, but died a few hours later.
On Friday night, January 6, 2006, at approximately 10:00 PM, Foothill Area officers responded to a stabbing call in the 13500 block of Van Nuys Boulevard. The officers found a man with multiple stab wounds. He was taken to Holy Cross Hospital where he died the next day, about 2:40 AM. He was identified as 18-year-old Julio Caesar Grande, of Pacoima.
Foothill Area homicide detectives determined that the victim was confronted by several suspects, and one of the suspects stabbed the victim multiple times. Detectives identified three suspects involved in the assault; Marc Garcia, 19 and 18-year-old Omar Nevarez. They were taken into custody in the morning hours of January 7, 2006. A third suspect was identified as 18-year-old Edgar Ramirez, a resident of Pacoima, who is still at large.
