Stolen Puppy: Detectives Seek the Public’s Help NR20194jc

Olympic Division: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Olympic Division Robbery Detectives are seeking the public’s help in locating a puppy that was taken from the victim during a robbery.

On July 29, 2020, at 12:55 p.m., the victim was walking the puppy on the 5000 block of Maplewood Avenue. As the victim was looking down at their cellphone, a suspect pushed the victim from behind causing them to fall to the ground. The suspect took the victim’s puppy, entered a vehicle, and was last seen fleeing northbound on Van Ness Avenue.

The puppy is named, “Bean” and is described as a 4-month-old brown chihuahua weighing approximately 6 pounds. Bean has a white chest marking.

The suspect is described as a male in his late twenties, stands at 5 feet 9 inches, and 180 pounds in weight.

The vehicle is described as a white 2011-2015 Chevy Volt. The suspect is described as a male in his late twenties, stands at 5 feet 9 inches, and 180 pounds in weight.
