Store Owner Shot and Killed

Los Angeles : 77th Street Area Homicide Detectives are investigating the murder of David Avila Rodriguez, 33 years old, a resident of Los Angeles.
On February 24, 2005, at about 7:15 p.m., Rodriguez was working behind the counter of his business, the One Dollar Store, which is located at 6001 South Vermont Avenue. Unknown suspects entered and demanded money at gunpoint. During the confrontation, one of the suspects shot Rodriguez in the back.
Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics took Rodriguez to California Hospital. On March 3, 2005, Rodriguez died at the hospital.
The suspect(s) and weapon remain outstanding.
