Suspect Arrested in Sexual Assault of Elderly Woman
Pacoima: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Foothill Division announce the arrest of a suspect who sexually assaulted an 81-year-old woman with Alzheimer’s.
On April 29, 2024, around 6:50 p.m., the suspect, later identified as 22-year-old Walker Gabriel Muniz, gained access to the victim’s apartment located on the 12600 block of Pierce Street by knocking on the door. He was allowed entry by the victim. Once inside the location, Muniz initiated physical contact and attempted to assault the victim sexually. A home security camera recorded the attack.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where a sexual assault exam was conducted.
On May 3, 2024, LAPD Foothill Division personnel apprehended Muniz without incident. Muniz was booked into the Metropolitan Detention Center for 209(b)(1)PC – Kidnapping with the Intent to Commit Rape (booking #6803485). His bail was set at $2,125,000.00.
