Suspect Running Away from a Local Park with Red Hooded Sweatshirt NR18071rh

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles
Police Department 77th Division Gang Detectives are seeking the
public’s help in identifying the person responsible for the
shooting of 25-year-old Lee Davidson in South Los Angeles.

On January 28, 2018, around 10:25 a.m., 77th patrol officers
responded to a radio call of “An ADW shooting at a local park,”
located in the 4800 block of South Hoover Street. When officers
arrived, they saw the victim who was suffering from an apparent
gunshot wound.

The initial investigation determined that the victim was getting
ready to play basketball when the suspect arrived and stood off to
the side of the court. Shortly thereafter, a single gunshot was
fired striking Davidson without provocation. Immediately, the
suspect ran away on foot to an unknown location.

The gunshot wound caused the victim to fall to the ground and
ultimately lose consciousness. The Los Angeles Fire Department
Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital in stable
condition.


The suspect is described as a male Black, 17-18 years of age,
stands 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs around 160 pounds. He was
wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and black pants. It is important to
note, as the suspect was fleeing the scene, he removed his red
hooded sweatshirt revealing a grey undershirt.
