Los Angeles: Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a driver who hit and critically injured a pedestrian. The pedestrian’s identity is also being sought.
On Friday, June 9, 2006, around 10:55 p.m., LAPD traffic officers responded to a felony hit and run traffic collision at Vine Street and Sunset Boulevard.
According to witnesses, the pedestrian, a male White, 25-35 years old, 5’10" tall, 190 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes, was acting strangely. Witnesses saw him throwing himself on the ground in front of passing cars. A car travelling south on Vine Street struck the man and failed to stop.
The pedestrian sustained a lacerated chin and abrasions to both hands and knees. He was transported to a local hospital. A short time later he lapsed into a coma.
The car was a 2000-2006 black sedan.
