"Task Force Strikes at Zero Tolerance for Crimes in Devonshire Area"
Los Angeles: On Tuesday, November 5, 2002, Los Angeles Police Officers representing the LAPD Devonshire Area, Valley Traffic Division, and Valley Bureau Headquarters, will focus on violent crimes and quality of life issues in the Devonshire Area of the San Fernando Valley.
Dozens of officers will target an area bordered by Devonshire Street on the north, Parthenia Street on the south, Tampa Avenue on the east, and Canoga Avenue on the west.
Operations will commence at approximately 8:00 a.m. and will continue past midnight.
There will be zero tolerance for traffic violations and criminal acts in the affected area.
Recent past task forces in other areas of the valley have resulted in hundreds of traffic citations, vehicle impounds, and several arrests.
