Los Angeles: A 15-year-old girl was found shot to death inside an apartment early Sunday morning.
On February 20, 2011, at about 5:40 a.m., officers from Wilshire Area were called to an apartment complex in the 1300 block of South 3rd Avenue to investigate a call of “Unknown Trouble.” When they arrived they found a 15-year-old female Hispanic inside on of the apartments, suffering from a single gunshot wound.
Los Angeles City Fire Department personnel responded to the apartment and pronounced the girl dead at scene.
The victim, whose identity is being withheld by Detectives, was a resident of Los Angeles. Investigators believe she was shot sometime on Sunday while with a group of friends in the apartment.
On Monday, February 21, 2011, Homicide Detectives identified and arrested a suspect who is a 17-year-old female Hispanic and resident of Los Angeles. Her name is not being released because she is a juvenile.
