WHAT: News Conference

WHO: Councilmember Jose Huizar – 14th Council District LAPD Captain Martin Baeza, Commanding Officer, Hollenbeck Division Senior Lead Officers, Hollenbeck Division Representatives from Hollenbeck Division’s Community Police Advisory Board Representatives from the community.
WHY: Hollenbeck Division is very excited to announce that they will be launching the Hollenbeck Community Partners Program. The program will put footbeat officers in designated areas to continue to build trust with the community. The program will add four additional footbeat areas to our existing four, which will be a total of eight corridors. These eight areas will be patrolled by hand selected officers to work with the businesses and residents to improve the overall quality of life in our community.
The eight areas are:
1. Cesar Chavez Blvd between State and Evergreen Avenue 2. North Broadway between Avenue 21 and Lincoln Park Blvd 3. Huntington Drive between Eastern Avenue and Pueblo Street 4. Whittier Blvd between Indiana Avenue and Lorena Street 5. Soto Blvd between Olympic Blvd and Whittier Blvd 6. Olympic Blvd between Soto and Camulos Street 7. Eastern Avenue between Huntington Drive and Klamath Street 8. 1st Street between Boyle Avenue and Soto Street
The launch will be an ongoing effort to continue to build trust with the community and partner with the businesses and neighbors in addressing quality of life and the continued reduction in crime in the communities served by Hollenbeck Division.
