WHY:
The men and women of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) are proud to host a celebration in honor of Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month. This event will pay tribute to the rich history and invaluable contributions of LAPD’s AAPI personnel, both past and present, and celebrate their integral role in shaping our Department’s cultural and historical landscape. This year celebrates and honors LAPD’s first AAPI Chief of Police Dominic H. Choi.

Cultural Performances: Enjoy traditional dances, music, and performances showcasing the diverse cultures within the AAPI community.

Guest Speakers:
Hear from prominent members of the AAPI community and city leaders about the significant impact and contributions of AAPI individuals throughout the Department’s history.
