Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department West Bureau Homicide detectives are investigating the death of three family members in the Wilshire Area.
On Saturday, January 31, 2015, around 3:30 p.m., detectives responded to the 1100 block of Crenshaw Boulevard for a death investigation. The apartment manager went to check on the tenants after detecting a foul odor coming from the apartment. The manager went inside the apartment and found an elderly Korean couple and their adult son dead inside. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and pronounced all three dead at scene. Preliminary investigation reveals that the adult son may have taken his own life. The cause of death for the elderly couple is still undetermined.
The names of the deceased are being withheld pending notification to next of kin.
