Los Angeles: On August 10, 2002 at approximately 1:00 p.m., Los Angeles Harbor Area Police officers responded to Kaiser Hospital in Harbor City for a child endangering investigation.
On August 10, 2002 at approximately 1:00 p.m., Los Angeles Harbor Area Police officers responded to Kaiser Hospital in Harbor City for a child endangering investigation.
Attending hospital physicians advised the responding officers that a three year-old girl, a resident of Wilmington, was admitted after ingesting cocaine that she found within her home.
The child’s condition was so severe that she was transported to Kaiser Hospital in Hollywood. As a result of ingesting the drug, the little girl is on life support with the Kaiser Hospital staff monitoring her condition.
Seven additional children were removed from the home and taken into protective custody. The father of the hospitalized child, 33 year-old Wilmington resident Guillermo Elizarraraz, was arrested for felony child endangering.
