Los Angeles: On Sunday, June 8, 2003, at about 4:30 p.m., a man was killed in a traffic collision that took place at the intersection of Rinaldi Street and Havenhurst Avenue.
A 2003 Nissan Altima, driven by a 23 year-old male traveling at a high rate of speed eastbound on Rinaldi Street, collided with a 1993 Toyota Camry, which was turning left onto Havenhurst Avenue.
The driver of the Toyota, Camry was identified as Keijo Iko a 78 year-old man and resident of Granda Hills, California.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to the scene, Mr. Iko was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the Nissan Altima was transported to a local hospital.
This traffic collision is still under investigation.
