West Los Angeles Triple Homicide
Los Angeles: On January 28, 2023, a triple murder occurred in the Beverly Crest area of Los Angeles. The victims have since been identified as Iyana Hutton (33 years old), Nenah Davis (30 years old), and Destiny Sims (27 years old). There were six additional surviving victims. Due to the violent nature and severity of the crime, we are not releasing their names and genders.
During the course of this investigation, LAPD Robbery-Homicide, Homicide Special Section Detectives identified the individuals responsible for the triple murders. With the assistance of the Los Angeles FBI Violent Crime Task Force, Chicago FBI Violent Crime Task Force, Chicago Police Department, Illinois State Police, and Cook County Sheriff’s Police, two murder suspects were arrested in Chicago. The murder suspects have been identified as Dejean Thompkins, 28-years-old, and Dontae Williams, 23-years-old. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, Major Crimes Section, has filed murder and attempt murder charges against Dejean Thompkins and Dontae Williams. Both Thompkins and Williams are awaiting extradition to Los Angeles.
LAPD RHD Homicide Detectives identified a third murder suspect responsible for the triple murders. With the assistance of the New York FBI Violent Crime Task Force and the New York Police Department, the third suspect was arrested in New York. The murder suspect has been identified as Daries Stanford, 28-years-old. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, Major Crimes Section, has filed murder and attempted murder charges against Daries Stanford. Stanford is awaiting extradition to Los Angeles.

Los Angeles: Earlier today, Robbery Homicide Division Detectives served a search warrant at an apartment building in the 8600 block of Wilshire, in the city of Beverly Hills.
As the homicide investigation continued, Detectives compiled and disseminated a Crime Alert with information they received from both witnesses and nearby surveillance video. Detectives discovered that the suspects responsible for the triple homicide were last seen driving a blue 4-door Tesla with damage to the right front fender and no license plates.
Tips from community members who saw the suspect’s vehicle in and around the West L.A. and Beverly Hills area lead investigators to an apartment building in the 8600 block of Wilshire BLVD. A warrant was obtained to search the apartment. Detectives discovered that the apartment was empty and are in the process of obtaining any forensic evidence that may have been left behind.
Detectives are attempting to identify the homicide suspects and are looking for any information related to the apartment building or vehicle.

West Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Robbery Homicide detectives are investigating a triple murder shooting investigation in West Los Angeles.
On January 28, 2023, around 2:30 a.m., Los Angeles Police Department West Los Angeles patrol officers received multiple 911 calls of a shooting at a residence in the 2700 block of Ellison Drive.
When officers arrived, they found five victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded and pronounced three of those victim’s dead at scene. The victims were inside a vehicle when they were murdered.
The victims have since been identified as Iyana Hutton (33-years-old), Nenah Davis (29-years-old), and Destiny Sims (26-years-old).
There were four additional victims that were transported to local hospitals.
Two victims remain in critical condition. Two other victims received treatment for their injuries and were subsequently released.
Investigators are requesting additional assistance from neighborhood residents (within Ellison Drive and Arby Drive to Hutton Drive and Benedict Canyon Drive) in providing any information and/or video surveillance during the time frame of 9:00pm on January 27, 2023 to 3:00am on January 28, 2023.
