Twenty-Two Arrested in an Illegal Gambling Operation NR24322ti/ne

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Southeast Area Vice Unit is announcing the arrest of twenty-two suspects believed to be involved in an Illegal Gambling Operation.

On Thursday, November 21, 2024, around 8:00 p.m., officers from various divisions, including Southeast Vice, Southeast Gang Enforcement Detail, Southeast Narcotics Enforcement Detail, 77th Vice, Harbor Vice, Southwest Vice, and Southeast Patrol, conducted a search warrant operation at 10122 South Figueroa Street, Los Angeles, California. This operation stemmed from multiple anonymous tips to LA Regional Crime Stoppers, which reported illegal gambling and narcotics activity at the location.

During the search, officers recovered several illegal gambling machines, narcotics, and two firearms. As a result of the operation, the following individuals were arrested or cited for various offenses, including illegal gambling, narcotics possession, and firearms violations. The suspects arrested and cited are all Los Angeles residents.

· Magic Brooks, 39 years of age – Felony Arrest for 29800(a)(1) PC, Booking #6922812

· Tamarra Johnson, 42 years of age – Felony Arrest for 29800(a)(1) PC, Booking #6922812

· Dunia Perdomo-Martinez, 36 years of age – Felony Arrest for 337(a) PC, Booking #6922843

· Carolyn Serrano, 31 years of age – Felony Arrest for 11378 H&S, Booking #6922839

· Mayra Serrano, 34 years of age – Felony Arrest for 330(a) PC, Booking #6922832
