Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the persons responsible for the shooting death of 43-year-old Johnny Donnell and the shooting of Timothy Jones, 18.
On Sunday, November 2, 2008 at about 9:15 p.m., Donnell, along with Jones and a 20-year-old friend were standing in the garage at a residence on the 4000 block of Muirfield Road. Suspects approached and fired multiple gunshots into the garage.
Donnell and Jones were hit by the gunfire. Donnell sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his chest and his left leg. Los Angeles Fire Department medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene. Jones also sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to a local area hospital for treatment.
The suspects are described as two male Blacks with a light complexion and in their late teens to early 20’s.
