Two Shot in Imperial Courts Housing Projects

Los Angeles: Two young men, one just 15-years-old, the other 23-year-old, were shot during a drive by shooting in the Imperial Courts Housing Projects.
On Saturday, October 8, 2005, at around 9:50 p.m., Melvon Massey a 15-year-old Black male and Mark Brider a 23-year-old Black male, were standing in the 2200 Block of East 114th Street, inside the Imperial Courts Housing Projects.  An unknown number of suspects drove by Massey and Brider and began shooting.  Both victims suffered from gunshot wounds and were transported to a local hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department.  Melvon Massey was pronounced dead on arrival and Mark Brider remains in critical condition.
