Two Victims Shot, One Dies

 
Los Angeles: On April 4, 2003, at approximately 1:00 a.m., Los Angeles County Sheriff Deputies were in the area of 103 rd Street and Central Avenue when they were flagged down by a 20 year-old female Black who had been shot. The victim directed the deputies to a vehicle that was parked about one block away. The deputies responded to the second location and discovered another victim of an apparent shooting. The deputies requested LAPD officers from Southeast station to the location.
The investigation revealed that the 20 year-old female, and the second victim identified as 26 year-old, Deandre Harper, had been shot by an unidentified suspect. Harper was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. The female was also transported to a local hospital where she is listed in stable condition.
The motive for this shooting is unknown at this time.
