Valley Restaurant Take-Over Robberies

Los Angeles: On August 11, 2005, two restaurants in the San Fernando Valley, were the locations of violent take over robberies. The robberies occurred between 10:00 and 10:30 p.m.  In both cases, two armed suspects entered the restaurants and, using fear and intimidation took over the entire business.  The suspects were wearing ski masks.  They took money from the business and also robbed the patrons who were dining at the locations. After the suspects took the money they ran to an unknown location. 
Both of these two robberies are being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department, and may be part of a series of violent take over crimes that have plagued the San Fernando Valley. 
In the San Fernando Valley this year, there have been approximately 145 robberies that have been committed by suspects wearing ski masks.  It‘s unknown if the same suspects committed all of these crimes.  The masks have made it difficult for investigators to determine the identity of those committing the robberies. 
All detectives involved in this investigation are requesting the public’s help in solving these cases.  We are asking that the public be very aware of their surroundings, and to be good witnesses if you are confronted with this type of situation.  We are not looking for anyone to try to confront these predators, as the individuals who committed these crimes are considered armed and dangerous.
