Department’s Central Traffic Division detectives are asking for the
public’s help in providing any information regarding the events
that led up to a hit and run collision that injured a 72-year-old
man.
On October 7, 2018, around 4:25 p.m., a vehicle vs pedestrian
traffic collision occurred in a parking-lot located near the 2900
block of Loz Feliz Boulevard. The driver in a gray Dodge Ram
pick-up truck collided with the victim striking him on his left
shoulder. The driver stopped momentarily, but failed to identify
himself or render aid to the victim as required by law.
Drivers are reminded that if they become involved in a collision,
they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so,
notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify
themselves.
On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles
Administrative Code and created a Hit and Run Reward Program Trust
Fund. A reward of up to $50,000 is available to community members
who provide information leading to the offender’s identification,
apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil
compromise. Certified Collision Repair Centers also qualify for
this reward.
Driver is described as a male possible Armenian, around
40-years-old. He stands around 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs
approximately 180 pounds.
Passenger is described as a male possible Armenian, around
20-years-old. He stands around 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs
approximately 180 pounds.
The vehicle is described as 2000 to 2010 gray Dodge Ram pick-up
truck, with damage to the driver’s side view mirror.
