South Los Angeles: Los Angeles
Police Department Newton Area detectives are asking for the
public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the
arrest of the suspect responsible for sexually assaulting women in
the South Los Angeles Wetlands Park area.
In October 2015, the suspect approached an adult female from behind
as she was walking in the park. He tackled her to the ground and
got on top of her. As she struggled with him he struck her numerous
times before fleeing.
In February 2016, the suspect approached an adult female as she ran
in the park. He grabbed her and attempted to pull her pants down.
He exposed his penis. The suspect fled when another person
approached.
In March 2016, the suspect approached a 17-year- old female as she
ran in the park. He exposed his penis and grabbed her. He fled when
another person approached.
The suspect is described only as a male Hispanic, 25-26 years old,
standing 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing
approximately 140-150 lbs. with black close cropped hair and facial
hair.
All the assaults occurred within the South Los Angeles Wetlands
Park.
Detectives believe there may be additional victims of other
unreported incidents and are asking for the public’s assistance in
locating them.
