Los Angeles: The LAPD Foothill Division Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information about the shooting and murder of a woman in San Fernando Valley.
On December 13, 2011, around 10:30 a.m., officers from Foothill Area responded to a radio call of a shooting just occurred in the area of Pierce Street and Kewen Avenue in Pacoima. Officers were directed by citizens inside a nearby residence where they located a 39-year-old Guadalupe Del Carmen Hernandez, a Pacoima resident, died from what appeared to a gunshot wound to her body.
Los Angeles City Fire Department Rescue Ambulance responded to the scene and pronounced Hernandez dead at the scene.
There is no information about the suspect(s) at this time. The weapon has not yet been recovered, and detectives have not determined what prompted the shooting.
