Homicide Detectives Investigate Shooting Death

Los Angeles: North Hollywood Homicide Detectives are investigating the death of a 26 year-old male Hispanic.

On Friday, August 8, 2003, North Hollywood Area Officers responded to a radio call of an, "Assault with a Deadly Weapon" on Oxnard Street and Cartwright Avenue. When the officers arrived, they discovered the victim in the street suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and transported the victim to a local hospital were he died as a results of his wounds
The motive and the suspect(s) identity are unknown at this time.
