Man Found Murdered, Family Missing

Los Angeles: On Saturday, June 21 2003, at 10:19 a.m., North Hollywood Patrol Officers responded to the report of shots fired in the 5700 block of Elmer Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found 25 year-old Luis Gonzalez, lying on the bedroom floor from multiple gunshot wounds.
According to neighbors, several shots were heard between midnight and 1:30 a.m., the previous evening. The victim lived at the residence with his brother, his brothers common-law wife, and their two children.
The victim’s brother and family had been unaccounted for since the investigation began. Early on the morning of June 22, 2003, the family, with the exception of the victim’s brother, were found at a residence outside of the city. Detectives at this time have no information to connect the family to the homicide. The motive for the shooting is unknown at this time. Detectives are attempting to locate the victim’s brother, Fernando Gonzalez.
