Grandmother Arrested in Connection with Grandsons Murder

"GRANDMOTHER ARRESTED IN CONNECTION WITH
MURDER OF HER GRANDSON"

LOS ANGELES -On Wednesday, February 9, 2000, Chi Chi Locci, age 43, was arrested and booked for the murder of her grandson, 3-year-old Jordan Diggins. The case was initially reported to the Los Angeles Police Department on Monday, February 7, 2000, when paramedics responded to Locci’s residence at 7148 Coldwater Canyon, Apartment 309, in North Hollywood. The victim was pronounced dead by paramedics who observed trauma to the victim’s body and notified the police.

Detectives from Juvenile Division’s, Abused Child Unit, conducted an investigation that resulted in the arrest of Locci. The autopsy by the L.A. County Coroner revealed the child died from blunt force trauma. Locci was booked at the 77th Street Jail and remains in custody in lieu of $1 million bail. The case will be presented to the District Attorney for filing of murder and felony child abuse charges.

Locci’s three children and one other grandchild remain in the care of the Department of Children and Family Services.
