WHY:

On June 7, 2018 at 3:30 a.m., a black/2007/Nissan/Murano driven by Oscar Armando Lopez was traveling at a high rate of speed westbound Sherman Way from Vineland Avenue when it lost control and collided with several parked vehicles and a light standard. Two occupants inside the black Nissan were ejected from the vehicle as it rotated in a westbound direction out of control. One occupant inside the Nissan died as a result of the collision and the other occupant suffered severe injuries. The driver, identified as Oscar Lopez, got out of the Nissan and remained at scene for a short time. Lopez fled the scene, failing to render aid to his passengers.
