Detectives Seeking Additional Victims of a Serial Sexual Assault Suspect NR19239dm

September 9, 2019

Los Angeles: On May 9, 2019,
detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s (LAPD) North
Hollywood area, working together with the LAPD/U.S. Marshalls
Fugitive Task Force, arrested Allen Dante Villarreal. He was
identified through his DNA for at least two sexual assaults in the
San Fernando Valley. One sexual assault of a minor occurred in 2018
within LAPD’s Topanga area, and a subsequent 2019 sexual assault
occurred in the LAPD North Hollywood area. Villarreal was also
identified as a suspect in a 2012 sexual assault of a minor in the
state of Ohio.

Villarreal would initially contact his victims on the street and
would later sexually assault them. The victims did not know
Villarreal. The identified victims ranged between 15-23 years of
age at the time of the commission of the sexual assaults.

The investigation has revealed that Villarreal may have been
transient over various time periods within the past few years. He
has been known to frequent and/or stay in the following areas
within the County of Los Angeles: Santa Monica, Hollywood, San
Fernando Valley, Compton, Carson and West LA.
Villarreal recently obtained a tattoo on his face but did not have
one during the known sexual assaults. He has been known to have
short hair or short dread-lock style haircuts.

charges were filed against Villarreal in case #LA090402. On
September 4, 2019, additional felony charges were filed against
Villarreal for sexual offenses in case #LA091188. Both pending
criminal cases continue to be handled by the Victim Impact Unit
(V.I.P.) of the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, Van
Nuys Branch.
