Suspect Seen with Bloody Clothes

November 25, 2002

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department, Wilshire Area Homicide Detectives, are investigating the stabbing death of a male Los Angeles resident.

On November 23, 2002, at approximately 4:00 p.m., LAPD’s Wilshire Patrol officers, on routine patrol, observed 25 year-old Insop Cho walking in the area of 5th Street and Ardmore Avenue.

The officers saw that Cho’s clothing was bloody. They detained Cho to investigate. Cho told the officers that he was recently in a fight and that he had stabbed someone.

As the officers were questioning Cho, a "911" call was broadcasted for an incident that had just occurred, approximately one block away from the officers and their detainee, Cho. Additional officers responded to the location of the emergency call, and found 19 year-old Eduardo Morales dead at the scene. The investigation revealed that during a dispute, Cho stabbed Morales repeatedly and then fled the crime scene.

Cho was transported to the Wilshire Area station where he was booked for Murder. His bail was set at $1,000,000.00.
