Why:
The City of Hope Charity Boxing Event started in 1994 when Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies befriended a cancer-stricken boy and made a commitment to improve the quality of his life and that of his family. Since that time, they turned to the LAPD and the New York Police Department to join them in their efforts to help others in similar situations, and the partnership continues to this day.

This event brings together three of the countries premier law enforcement agencies to fight a foe that is different from the type they regularly encounter on the streets, but formidable nonetheless.  The goal is to raise funds to help the City of Hope in their relentless pursuit to find a cure for the insidious opponent that cancer is and to enable them to provide the best care possible to their patients.

Media outlets and the public are encouraged to attend.  Event tickets are $25 general admission, $50 reserved seating and $100 VIP ringside. For more information and ticket purchases please contact the Los Angeles Police Protective League at 213-251-4554, or the Sheriff’s Relief Association of Los Angeles County at 562-946-7081.
