Los Angeles: On Saturday, August 9, 2003, at about 4:20 p.m., four suspects described as male Hispanics in their twenties, entered The Flor Blanca Restaurant located 806 South Alvarado Street. One of the suspects took out a handgun and began shooting inside the restaurant, striking and fatally wounding 24 year-old Manuel De Jesus Rivas Carrillo and 28 year-old Delmis Del Carmen Rodriguez. The suspects fled to an awaiting vehicle described only as a dark colored sedan.
The Los Angeles City Council has set up a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the individual(s) responsible for the deaths of Carrillo and Rodriguez.
