"Reward Offered for Murder Suspects"

Los Angeles – On Thursday, October 26, 2000 at 10:30 a.m., the Los Angeles Police Department’s Southwest Operations Support Division along with council member Mark Ridley Thomas will hold a press conference. This press conference will take place at Southwest Police station, located at 1546 West Martin Luther King Boulevard in Los Angeles. Council member Mark Ridley Thomas will announce a $25,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect(s) responsible for the murder of Kendrick "Wil" Williams.

On Thursday, June 15, 2000, at approximately 11:40 p.m., Kendrick "Wil" Williams was riding his bicycle on Gramercy Place near Leighton Avenue. Unknown suspect(s) approached the victim and fired several shots. Kendrick Williams was struck by the gunfire and subsequently died.

Family members of the victim will be attending the press- conference and a photo of the victim will also be available.

The Los Angeles Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect(s) responsible for the victim’s demise.
